Meet Lindsay
Lindsay DeFranco (known online as Linz) grew up in Fulton County, attending Barnwell Elementary, Haynes Bridge Middle, and Centennial High. After graduating early through one of the first accredited virtual high school programs, she followed a nontraditional path and built a career at the intersection of digital media, advocacy, and civic engagement.
She co-founded Not So Fast, a media literacy nonprofit, and serves as Vice President at Rogue Rocket, helping lead one of YouTube’s longest-running independent news shows. Her work has always focused on helping people think critically, engage with information responsibly, and hold systems and leaders accountable.
Lindsay returned to Fulton County with her family to raise her children where she grew up and invest in the community that helped shape her. Since returning, she has served as a poll watcher with the ACLU and Georgia Democrats, advised political campaigns, and used her platform to bring attention to healthcare, public safety, education, and government accountability.
She is also a CASA-trained volunteer, an artist, and a parent of two children in Fulton County Schools. She is running for State House to bring solutions-oriented, fiscally responsible leadership to the district, investing in healthcare, safer communities, and strong public systems so every family can thrive. Her leadership style is rooted in empathy, transparency, and practical problem-solving, always putting families and the community first.
